Palmyra Newspapers

Thanks to Fulton History, there are online available the scans for four Palmyra newspapers that are relevant to the problems of early Mormonism (~1816-1831).

These papers are

• The Palmyra Register (1817-1821) (508 scans)
• The Palmyra Western Farmer (1821-1822) (428 scans)
• The Palmyra Reflector (1829-1830) (262 scans)
  Note: the Reflector is also available as a single PDF from the Internet Archive, but the pages as clearly taken from the Fulton History website and the contents begins almost immediately with the publication of the Book of Mormon, Nephi I, this being Abner Cole's paper -- cf. Marquardt et al (1994), p.130, esp. Fn 65.
• The Wayne County Sentinel (1823-1958), divided into the time periods
• 1823-1826 (1016 scans)
• 1826-1831 (1100 scans)
• 1831-1836 (from scan #976 to 1084, 108 scans, in reverse order)
• ...

Notice that there is minimal overlap temporally between the publications; the Register and Western Farmer seem to have none, and the Sentinel seems to surround the Reflector.
